About the Furuno TZT22X

The TZT22X sits at the larger end of Furuno's TZtouchXL range, alongside the 16" and 24" glass displays. It doesn't include a built-in GPS receiver or fishfinder module, everything is added to the display over Furuno's network, which is normal for a display at this size and is how most flybridge and multi-station boats are set up anyway. That means the TZT22X is best thought of as the screen at the centre of a system, not a stand-alone chartplotter, and the system around it is where the real planning happens.

Who This Suits

The TZT22X suits owners with, or planning, a full NavNet TZtouchXL system, offshore fishos and cruisers wanting a large helm display, and multi-station boats where a second or third large screen is needed at another helm position. It's not the right starting point if you want a simple, self-contained chartplotter with sounder built in, smaller TZtouchXL or TZtouch3 models are a better fit for that.
